Bio

Spiridoula Zachou was born in Corfu,Greece. She took her  first painting lessons at Art School in Corfu from teacher Spiros Alamanos, where she graduated with honors.

She was taught drawing from the painter-sculptor Angel Gerakaris and iconography from the painter-decorator Nerina Lymperopoulou.While she attended a series of Decoration seminars she worked as a commercial interior designer.
She studied painting in applied educational institution AKTO Art and Design, taught by Nickos Kaskouras, Nickos Navridis and Catherine Apostolidou.
   
She has taught Architectural Design and History of Art in Interior Decoration section of the Corfu State IEK and she has also taught painting at schools of Corfu and the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Sykies, Thessaloniki. She designed and built the sets and costumes for dance theater performance group'' Ionian Act'' and the prizes for the''Be There - Corfu Animation festival 2011'' (sculptures).

She has illustrated texts for the needs of the show'' Storytelling Project''. Her activities also include illustrations Maria’s Raptis book'' cabinet de curiosites''or’’Hartino Mouseio Paraxenon Gegonoton’’ published by Thermaikos Publications, 'The illustration of ''' I Torpila’’series of poems by Stelios Zoumadakis and Christos Zachos, illustrations of music albums'' The Beneficial Influence Of Non Reality'','' The End Is The Beginning'' by Vassilis Avdelas and'' Oh Raven If You Only had brains'' and'' Oneirografia'' by Lefteris Kordis. Her works are  included in private collections in Greece and abroad, in Corfu Gallery and the Municipal Gallery of Corfu.
